The accusation, which surfaced on social media earlier this week, quickly gained traction across Twitter and TikTok, prompting Fong to issue a firm response. “Let’s be real,” she wrote on X (formerly Twitter). “I’ve never had that kind of interaction with Elon. People are straight-up inventing headlines for clout.”
Fong, who gained notoriety for interviewing crypto personalities and whistleblowers, including Sam Bankman-Fried, emphasized that while she has had professional communication with Musk in the past, their interactions were never personal or inappropriate.
What Sparked the Allegation?
The claim appears to have originated from an anonymous post on an internet gossip forum, alleging that Musk had privately made the offer to Fong. No evidence was provided, and the post has since been deleted. Despite that, the rumor quickly went viral.
Fong’s name began trending alongside Musk’s on X, with mixed reactions across the platform. Some users defended her, citing the lack of proof, while others questioned the nature of her connection to Musk.

As of now, Elon Musk has not addressed the rumor directly. Tesla and SpaceX representatives declined to comment when contacted.
