New details have surfaced about the upcoming Marvel film Spider-Man: Brand New Day, revealing that the web-slinging hero will face off against three classic villains. The leak reportedly originated from a Disney consumer products presentation held in Las Vegas, where key visual assets were briefly shown.
According to attendees of the event, the film will feature Scorpion, Tombstone, and Boomerang as its central antagonists:
- Scorpion (Mac Gargan)

- portrayed by Michael Mando in Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017), is rumored to return, signaling deeper continuity within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
- Tombstone (Lonnie Lincoln),

- a hardened crime boss with superhuman abilities, will make his live-action debut after years of prominence in comics and animated adaptations.
- Boomerang (Fred Myers),

- a former baseball star turned mercenary, adds a more unpredictable and comedic edge to the villain lineup, marking his first appearance in a live-action project.
The leak gained traction after Chris Higashi, an attendee of the Disney showcase, briefly posted about the villains on Instagram before deleting the post. Despite the removal, fans and insiders quickly spread the news across social media and entertainment forums.
Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, Spider-Man: Brand New Day is set to release on July 31, 2026, and is expected to continue exploring multiverse elements introduced in previous MCU films.
Marvel Studios has not officially confirmed the villain lineup, but the leak has ignited significant buzz and speculation about what’s in store for Peter Parker’s next chapter.
