HBO has officially announced the lead cast for its forthcoming Harry Potter television series, set to premiere on HBO Max between 2026 and 2027. The series aims to provide a faithful adaptation of J.K. Rowling’s seven-book saga, with each season dedicated to one book.

  • Harry Potter: Dominic McLaughlin, a newcomer to the screen, has been cast as the titular character.
  • Hermione Granger: Arabella Stanton, known for her performances in London’s West End productions of Matilda The Musical and Starlight Express, will portray Hermione.
  • Ron Weasley: Alastair Stout, who has appeared in advertising campaigns, will take on the role of Ron.

These young actors were selected from over 30,000 applicants across the UK and Ireland.
