Worlds Collide: Batman vs. Deadpool Crossover Announced

Gotham meets mayhem. DC and Marvel break barriers with an unprecedented crossover event: Batman vs. Deadpool.

In a surprise joint statement this morning, DC Comics and Marvel Entertainment have officially announced a collaborative crossover series that pits the Dark Knight against the Merc with a Mouth. The limited series, titled Batman/Deadpool: Masked Mayhem, is set to debut this fall as a six-issue run — and fans are already losing their minds.

“This is the crossover we said would never happen,” said DC Editor-in-Chief Marie Javins. “But when you have a character like Deadpool suddenly breaking into Gotham, you let the story write itself.”

Marvel Editor-in-Chief C.B. Cebulski added, “It’s chaotic. It’s cinematic. And yes — it’s absolutely insane. Just how Wade likes it.”

🔥 What We Know So Far

  • The story begins with a mysterious multiversal rift that hurls Deadpool into Gotham City.
  • Mistaking Batman for a contract target, Deadpool launches a surprise attack.
  • The duo’s ideological clash turns violent — before they’re forced to work together against a multiverse-threatening alliance between Ra’s al Ghul and Mister Sinister.
  • Expect rooftop battles, fourth-wall breaks, Batcave invasions, and a taco truck chase through Gotham’s narrows.

🖋️ Creative Team

  • Writers: Chip Zdarsky (Batman) & Gerry Duggan (Deadpool)
  • Artists: Jorge Jiménez & Pepe Larraz
  • Variant Covers: Art by Jim Lee, Rob Liefeld, and Skottie Young

🎬 Hints at Bigger Things?

Insiders report that this may not be a one-time event. Rumors are swirling that a potential animated adaptation is already in early development — and Ryan Reynolds has allegedly voiced interest in returning as Deadpool for it.

🗓️ Release Date

Batman/Deadpool: Masked Mayhem #1 hits comic shops and digital platforms on October 16, 2025.

💬 Fan Reactions

Twitter/X exploded within minutes of the announcement:

“BATMAN VS DEADPOOL??? My comic dreams just became real.”
“Deadpool’s gonna try to give Alfred a chimichanga. Mark my words.”

Stay tuned for more updates on this historic crossover — including exclusive previews, interviews, and possibly… a Bat-suit made entirely of pouches.
