Gotham meets mayhem. DC and Marvel break barriers with an unprecedented crossover event: Batman vs. Deadpool.
In a surprise joint statement this morning, DC Comics and Marvel Entertainment have officially announced a collaborative crossover series that pits the Dark Knight against the Merc with a Mouth. The limited series, titled Batman/Deadpool: Masked Mayhem, is set to debut this fall as a six-issue run — and fans are already losing their minds.
“This is the crossover we said would never happen,” said DC Editor-in-Chief Marie Javins. “But when you have a character like Deadpool suddenly breaking into Gotham, you let the story write itself.”
Marvel Editor-in-Chief C.B. Cebulski added, “It’s chaotic. It’s cinematic. And yes — it’s absolutely insane. Just how Wade likes it.”
