US Lawmakers Condemn Irish Bill Banning Trade with Israeli Settlements
Nearly two dozen U.S. lawmakers, mostly Republicans, have condemned a proposed bill in the Irish parliament that seeks to ban trade with Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank.
The bill, if passed, would make it illegal for Ireland to import or sell goods produced in Israeli settlements, which are considered illegal under international law.
Senator Lindsey Graham criticized the legislation in a public statement on X (formerly Twitter), urging Ireland to reconsider what he described as an effort to “economically isolate Israel.”
Graham added:
“I do not believe these efforts would be well received in the United States and they certainly would not go unnoticed.”
The coordinated response is part of growing U.S. political pushback against international efforts to isolate Israel economically and diplomatically.

Syrian President Vows to Shield Druze from Foreign Interference
Earlier, we reported that Syria’s interim President Ahmed al-Sharaa delivered a televised address to the nation, declaring that Syria would resist any attempt by Israel to divide the country.
In his speech, al-Sharaa emphasized that protecting the Druze community and their rights remains “our priority.”
Speaking directly to Druze citizens, he stated: “We reject any attempt to drag you into the hands of an external party.”
He added, “We are not among those who fear war. We have spent our lives facing challenges and defending our people, but we have always placed the interests of Syrians above chaos and destruction.”
We will continue to provide updates as the situation develops.

US calls Israel’s bombing of Syria a ‘misunderstanding between new neighbours’
Throughout the course of the day, the State Department has been characterising this conflict as a misunderstanding.
The spokesperson for the State Department, Tammy Bruce, said, “It’s a misunderstanding between new neighbours”.
The secretary of state has been in touch with all parties from both the Israeli and the Syrian side, and he has now taken to social media announcing that the conflict may be nearing an end.
So the US secretary of state is apparently convinced that an end to this splurge of conflict is now in sight.
It is now, he says, up to the parties involved to make good on whatever commitments they have made to the United States and, perhaps, to each other.
