Seth Rogen’s Scarily Accurate Hollywood Satire The Studio Scores Season 2 At Apple TV+

Even before the first season has ended, Apple TV+ is putting its faith behind Seth Rogen’s comedy series, The Studio. The Hollywood satire has been renewed for season 2. Here’s what creator Rogen had to say about the welcome news.

In the latest episode of The Studio Season 1, Seth Rogen’s Matt Remick desperately wants to be thanked in a speech by Zoe Kravitz at the Golden Globes. The actor-writer, who has co-created the series with long-time collaborator Evan Goldberg, plays the head of Continental Studios in the Apple TV+ series. With the way the series has been going, it could easily become a contender at the Emmy Awards and Golden Globes for the next awards season. Not surprisingly, Apple TV+ has renewed the satire for another season.

The Studio will return for Season 2

Rogen leads a star-studded cast that includes Ike Barinholtz, Catherine O’Hara, Kathryn Hahn, and Chase Sui Wonders, with guest star Bryan Cranston playing Remick’s boss, the CEO of Continental Studios. The Apple TV+ show has landed some impressive A-list cameos with Martin Scorsese, Charlize Theron, Ron Howard, Anthony Mackie, Steve Buscemi, and Olivia Wilde, all of whom are ready to make fun of themselves.

In a statement, creators and executive producers Rogen and Goldberg hilariously shared, “We’re thrilled to be making a second season of The Studio. We’re looking forward to taking the lived experience of making season one and immediately putting it into season two, then repeating that loop for 10 more seasons. And, we’re excited to keep all our industry friends and colleagues guessing as to when one of their personal stories will stream on Apple TV+.

The Hollywood satire has been eerily accurate in predicting industry trends and giving viewers a laugh-out-loud glimpse into how movies are made. In fact, the Scorsese movie about the Jonestown massacre mentioned in the premiere episode is now in development, as HBO is making a series with Bill Hader in charge.
