New trailer for ‘Havoc’ brings the brutality

A new Havoc trailer has dropped online ahead of a Netflix release later this month. The Gareth Evans-helmed action film looks every bit as brutal as his previous movies including The Raid and promises to give a big nod to classic Hong Kong action cinema.

Tom Hardy leads a massive cast that also includes Jessie Mei Li, Justin Cornwell, Quelin Sepulveda, Luis Guzmán, Michelle Waterson, Sunny Pang, Jim Caesar, Xelia Mendes-Jones with Yeo Yann Yann, Timothy Olyphant, and Forest Whitaker.

Walker (Tom Hardy) is a bruised detective fighting his way through the criminal underworld threatening to engulf his entire city. In the aftermath of a drug deal gone wrong, Walker finds himself with a number of factions on his tail; a vengeful crime syndicate, a crooked politician, as well as his fellow cops. When attempting to rescue the politician’s estranged son, whose involvement in the drug deal starts to unravel a deep web of corruption and conspiracy, he is forced to confront the demons of his past.

Havoc was filmed all of the way back in 2021 with reshoots taking place last summer. The main shoot took place in Wales and was one of the biggest ever productions to shoot there. Locations apparently took in the likes of the Barry Island Pleasure Park in South Wales and Brangwyn Hall in Swansea, as well as various locations in Cardiff. I cannot wait to see an action sequence take place in the Barry Island Pleasure Park. Please make it so.

I am looking forward to seeing what Evans has cooked up for us in this massive Netflix production that will drop on the platform on 25th April.

Hardy can also be seen in Paramount+ TV series Mobland which has just started to roll out over on the streamer.

Here’s the new Havoc trailer. Warning – graphic content ahead
